Cooking 101...

Here I am watching TV, or more to the point, watching Nigella Lawson week on Master Chef Australia.

Say what you like about the lady but she really knows how to cook and she is a real inspiration to the contestants, all of whom are home cooks.

Nigella is so down to earth she doesn't put on airs and graces and she's full of advice for the contestants. She's also great at putting them at ease in her presence, with her being a well known person and all.

So happy that Nigella Lawson is on Master Chef Australia this week because even those of us at home can learn something from watching the show this week.

I also enjoy how she says positive things to the contestants, even when their food isn't as good as it should be because they got the flavours off or they ran out of time with the challenges.

All I can say is, this week's Master Chef Australia is going to be mouth watering delicious!

Recently a friend and I booked to go on a cruise. It's the first time either of us has ever been on one, so this should be a fun experience.

I'm calling this cruise the "Go hard or stay home" cruise, as it will be 17 nights on the Golden Princess sailing on its first voyage on an Adelaide, South Australia to New Zealand round trip going in January 2018.

Do first time cruisers do 17 night cruises, or do they normally do shorter ones to determine whether they like cruises or not?

Since it is also my first time out of the country, I have to get a passport as well.

I'll be posting updates on the lead up to the cruise and when I can, I'll be blogging while on the cruise as well.

Setting up a blog...

I liken setting up a blog as a place where you can let the thoughts, images and anything else spill from your mind and put them all onto a page. Of course, you only want to put in the things from your mind that you want people to read but you have to make it interesting also.

So, here is my blog, the first entry in fact. I hope you find the thoughts from my mind I write here interesting and entertaining.
